Seattle Municipal Archives

The mission of the Archives is to support the goals of the City of Seattle and the citizens of the City by identifying, acquiring, arranging, describing, preserving, and making accessible - for the use of City agencies, scholars, students, and the general public - the records of enduring value created or received by City agencies and elected officials.

The Motion Picture Collection Index contains descriptions of motion picture film, video, and digital video in the Seattle Municipal Archives. The database includes both finished products and outtakes. Most films were created by City departments, the majority from Seattle City Light and the Seattle Department of Engineering. However, films not created by City departments are also included.
